From 7th to 12th April 2014 representatives of the Management Board of Huta 艁ab臋dy S.A. visited Chile: Zenon G贸rniak - Chairman of the Management Board of the Steelworks and Bogus艂aw Lewandowski - Vice Chairman of the Management Board for Marketing and Finance.
The visit of the economic mission was coordinated with the Polish Embassy in Santiago, headed by Ambassador Mrs Aleksandra Pi膮tkowska.
- Polish companies are interested in the Chilean market, offering high quality products, professional staff and a competitive offer - said Rados艂aw Smyk, Economic Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Santiago.
In total, there were about 20 meetings in Santiago and Copiapo, which is the heart of underground mining in Chile.
Polish managers met with representatives of the Chilean mining industry leader, Codelco. They visited the Carola mine and San Jose mine, where the famous mining disaster in 2010 happened, which resulted in 33 miners being trapped underground. Thanks to the successful rescue they were all saved.
As Zenon G贸rniak chairman of the Steelworks said - "Polish products targeted at companies involved in the extraction of natural resources have a great chance to become known in Chile. We welcome the interest from Chilean companies in our offer - mainly in casing, which could be installed in copper mines - prevailing in this region of the world."
The visit of Polish companies in Chile was held under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Krak贸w.
